Tissue
Sections
Cytomyx’s
high quality tissues are banked under strict collection protocols
and undergo rigorous quality control to produce the well characterized,
clinically annotated tissue sections needed for critical experiments.
Prior to sectioning, all tissue blocks are pathologist reviewed
and the cellularity of the sample is clearly described.
Tissue sections
are an ideal solution for rapidly identifying and characterizing
biomarkers of interest across a wide range of tissues and/or patient
samples and can be used for applications such as immunohistochemistry
(IHC), in-situ hybridization (ISH), laser capture microscopy (LCM)
and RNA/DNA/Protein extractions.
TissueFocus
Section Panels:
- Available
in formalin-fixed,
paraffin embedded OR frozen,
OCT-embedded formats.
- TissueFocus
panels are supplied in sets of FIVE (5) slides, each cut to a
thickness of 5 microns (5um) provided on SuperFrost Plus glass
slides.
- Sections
selected from our TissueFocus panels are available for immediate
shipment.
- All slides
are shipped complete with pathology verification data, clinical
annotation (including patient age, gender, AJCC TNM data and minimum
stage grouping), abstracted pathology reports and digital H&E
images of the source block for both the FFPE
and Frozen
formats.
- Highly characterized,
pre-selected samples for various cancers including:

Ensuring
quality:
- All sectioning
work is performed by ASCP licensed histologists
- Proven,
rigorous protocols ensure that frozen tissue is not allowed to
thaw during the cutting, storing and shipping processes
- Each sectioning
order is reviewed by a pathologist prior to shipment to ensure
that freeze artifact is not present (in frozen samples) and that
the cellularity is representative of the source block
Storage
Conditions:
- Please store
our paraffin tissue sections at room temperature or 4°C
- Frozen,
OCT-embedded sections are to be stored at -80°C
